    The Boat Show will have a new space dedicated to sustainability and innovation

    The Barcelona International Boat Show, organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the National Association of Marine Industries (ANEN), has taken another step forward in its commitment to sustainability as a driver of the sector's transformation towards the blue economy. In its 60th edition, it will feature, among other initiatives, a space dedicated to exhibiting boats with electric or hybrid engines and the latest innovations designed to mitigate the impact of boating activity on seas and oceans. In addition, the show has reached a collaboration agreement with the World Ocean Council (WOC), an international organisation founded in 2010 that promotes the sustainable maritime economy and has chosen Barcelona to establish its headquarters.

    The Boat Show will be held for the 60th time in October with the largest floating exhibition in recent years

    The Barcelona International Boat Show will put on a large floating exhibition for its 60th anniversary, with the addition of the Marina Port Vell to the traditional Fusta and España docks as part of its exhibition area. Thus, from 12 to 16 October, it will display the main innovations in the sector on water and on land, with the aim of promoting its growth and international expansion.

    Josep Antoni Llopart, new director of the Barcelona International Boat Show

    Josep Antoni Llopart has an extensive experience at heading several events at Fira de Barcelona. In addition to the Boat Show, he is director of the pre-owned vehicle show Salón Ocasión, the International Caravaning Show and NiceOne Barcelona, formerly Barcelona Games World. Llopart is very excited about "the challenge of directing one of the flagship events of the fair institution and a European benchmark, at a key moment for the industry".
