Barcelona Boat Show raises the quality of its offering to gather the nautical community

The Barcelona International Boat Show is further enhancing the quality of its exhibition offering with the participation of leading national and international brands, alongside new sectors and experiential areas, with the aim of bringing together the entire nautical community. With 170 direct exhibitors, more than 300 represented brands and over 200 boats on display, the event consolidates its position in its 63rd edition as Spain’s leading nautical trade fair and one of the most important in Europe

Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the Spanish Marine Industry Association (ANEN), the show will take place from 14 to 18 October, showcasing a wide selection of boats from major brands across all size segments, as well as one of the largest catamaran displays on the European nautical trade show calendar.

This year, the Moll de la Fusta and Marina Port Vell quays will host an outstanding representation of the industry’s leading national and international companies, presenting their latest innovations in a context driven by both innovation and sustainability, on the water and ashore.

    Prestigious Brands
The event will feature renowned companies and shipyards such as the Beneteau Group, the world-leading French recreational boatbuilder, represented through its brands Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon and Excess, showcasing both motorboats and sailing yachts. Other exhibitors include Mercury, Fjord, Bluegame, Navan, Quicksilver, Sea Ray and X-Yachts.

Also noteworthy is the return of premium sailing yacht brands such as Oyster, Amel and YYachts, which are coming back to the Barcelona Boat Show after several years away. The event will likewise feature a significant number of Spanish shipyards, including Amura, Auxinavy, De Antonio Yachts, Elyd, Girbau, Kattum, Kumbra, Lasai, Lema, Level, Maxim, Nuva, Pantiera, Quer, Simbad, Sasga and Zephyr, all of which are developing highly innovative models.

In addition, the Region of Sicily will be represented institutionally, with the participation of 10 shipyards and 15 motorboats and RIBs.

Other participating brands include Aventura, Bali, Dufour, Highfield, Honda, Karnic, Kawasaki, Leopard, Level, Maxim, Pardo, Pirelli, Raymarine, Sasga, Saxdor and Sunreef, contributing to one of the most diverse and high-quality line-ups seen in recent years.

Among the more than 200 boats displayed both afloat and ashore this year is a world premiere, the YYachts Y6 sailing yacht, measuring 19.65 metres. Visitors will also be able to see ten boats nominated for the European Yacht of the Year awards.

In the sailing yacht category, the show will present the following nominees for the European Yacht of the Year Awards: Amel 50.2, Dufour 39, Beneteau First 60, Aquila 45 Sail, Lagoon 47 and Leopard 43.

    Large Yachts and Catamarans
Large yachts will once again play a major role at the show. Catamarans will once again be one of the most prominent categories at the event, with 27 boats on display. Models such as the Bali 5.8, Aquila 50 Yacht, Fountaine Pajot 55, Leopard 52 and Simbad 55 reflect the evolution of a segment that continues to gain popularity thanks to its spacious interiors, comfort and versatility for long-range cruising.

According to the show’s president, Luis Conde, “We are facing one of the strongest editions in recent years, with an exceptional offering in terms of quality, diversity of models and range of sizes. We are particularly proud that the industry’s leading brands continue to strengthen their commitment to Barcelona. In addition, we are introducing new sectors and experiences that make the show the leading meeting point for anyone looking to discover, buy or enjoy the boating world.”

    New Sectors and Experiences
Moll de la Fusta will host two of this year’s major new features. Under the SeaMotion banner, it will be home to Experience Water, a new area dedicated to on-water demonstrations of products and accessories, as well as the Indoor Pavilion, which will include two new thematic zones.

The first, Marinas & Harbour Facilities, will highlight the role of marinas as key infrastructures for both the boating industry and marine tourism, with the direct and indirect participation of more than 240 marina facilities. The second, Diving, Shopping & Water Sports, will promote scuba diving, watersports and the nautical lifestyle among both professionals and enthusiasts.

This year, the Barcelona Boat Show is also reinforcing its commitment to innovation and sustainable boating through the launch of Innovation Dock, a new area showcasing a selection of 100% electric boats and gadgets. Combining an onshore exhibition with sea trials, the space will provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the latest clean marine mobility solutions designed to reduce emissions and noise pollution.

The event will also expand its programme of sea trials aimed at prospective boat buyers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions while further strengthening Barcelona’s position as the European boating event offering the greatest number of opportunities for this type of experience. In this context, the show will also host the traditional Barcelona International Rowing Trophy.

The event’s food and beverage offering will be centred at Marina Port Vell, where visitors will find a selection of high-quality bars and restaurants, alongside dedicated networking and hospitality areas. Two additional dining spaces will also be available at Moll de la Fusta.

Event director Josep Antoni Llopart said: “This year, we want to bring together the entire boating community. That is why we have designed a highly transversal offering aimed both at those looking to buy a boat and at people wishing to take their first steps into the fascinating world of boating.”

    Conference Programme and Industry Outlook
For industry professionals, Marina Port Vell will host the show’s conference programme, Agora-Port, from 14 to 16 October. Coordinated by the Port of Barcelona and the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, the programme will feature 25 speakers across nine sessions over three days, addressing topics such as training for marine industry professionals, the relationship between ports and cities, new forms of access to leisure boating, and the future of adaptive sailing.

For his part, ANEN Director General Jordi Carrasco explained: “The boating industry is undergoing a period of transformation, facing challenges such as competitiveness, training, sustainability and new ways of accessing boating. The Barcelona Boat Show is a key platform for taking the pulse of the sector and sharing companies’ perspectives on the main challenges and opportunities emerging in this new context.”

According to ANEN, based on data provided by Spain’s Directorate General of the Merchant Marine, the Spanish recreational boating market recorded 4,642 new registrations between January and September this year, representing 7% growth compared with the same period in 2025.
