Renowned chef Rafa Zafra to helm the new gastronomic offering
Barcelona Boat Show launches a Village as the social and business heart of the event
The Barcelona International Boat Show, taking place from 8 to 12 October, will debut a new space this year aimed at becoming the meeting point for companies, professionals and visitors throughout the event. The Village, a 2,500 m2 space in the Portal de la Pau area conceived to provide an exclusive environment where, in addition to networking, guests can enjoy a first-class gastronomic offer.
Designed to complement the event with a premium offer for attendees, the launch of the Barcelona Boat Show Village will become the social epicentre for visitors, buyers, exhibitors and professionals and stage brand activations, promotional actions and business contacts.
In addition to hospitality lounges for corporate and sponsors –including CaixaBank, Occident, Espígul Inmobiliaria, Land Rover Quadis and Tara–, the Village will feature a luxury gastronomic experience. The prestigious Sevillian chef Rafa Zafra will take the helm of the restaurant towards a six-course menu with ingredients from the sea. The culinary voyage of the Village is completed with an Open Bar, serving an array of tapas and dishes.
Luis Conde, President of the Barcelona International Boat Show, said: “The Village will be the best place in Barcelona to meet and do business in a privileged environment such as Port Vell.”
The event’s Director, Josep Antoni Llopart, added: “Rafa Zafra’s deep connection with the sea makes him the ideal chef to chart the gastronomic course of the Village.”
