Strength of the Barcelona International Boat Show

The Show demonstrated its strength at an event marked by the current economic situation: 600 exhibitors from 19 countries supported this latest edition. Some 2,000 boats of every length were on display and the Show welcomed 150,000 visitors.

The five pavilions at the Gran Via venue were joined by the enlarged Floating Exhibition at Port Vell featuring 270 large yachts moored at three wharves.

There was a packed programme of activities, including presentations of regattas, a seminar on marinas, conferences, courses and forums on the key issues in the nautical world.

  • 2009: Monturiol Year

    The activities planned to commemorate the launch of the very first submarine, designed and built by the Catalan inventor, were presented at this year’s edition of the Boat Show.

    The Boat Show is a fantastic platform for doing business. The contacts and commercial transactions made during the Show represent between 60% and 70% of the sector’s annual sales.
